About Southern Moonlight Photography

I took photography in high school as an elective ultimately just to get the credits to graduate. I did love taking pictures though, always have. We used to have two drawers in the kitchen growing up full of disposables, rolls of film, Cam- Corders & as we grew up, digital cameras. 

So, I graduated high school with the dream of becoming a game warden & off to community college I went. Still documenting all my trips & life experiences heavily. But school was not for me. So, I left & went onto the

restaurant industry as it kind of ran in the family. Years go by, and I meet my now good friend Cheyanne. When she found out she was pregnant we had so much fun decorating the baby's nursery & buying all the things for his arrival. But it hit me.... Who's going to document this timeless moment for her?? 

So, I had bought a Nikon D3100 off another photographer for like $500. I researched on Pinterest different ideas, and I took her maternity photos for her. 

From that moment on, I knew that everyone's timeless moments deserved to be captured so I started thinking of a name. It took me 4 days and it came to me in my dream. I enrolled myself in one of those sponsored "photographer mentor " programs and began my business. 7 years later here we are. We have a private studio, 2 longhorns (that can be rented for sessions), multiple acres of land available for sessions that included a huge, stocked pond!

Blessed & Thankful is an understatement but I could not be where I am today without the support of y'all, My clients!
